Setting the Standard in Treatment and Innovation

Balance Disorder

If you feel unsteady or dizzy, as if you are moving, spinning, or floating, even though you are standing still or lying down, you may have a balance disorder. Read more about balance disorders.

Bell’s Palsy

Bell’s palsy is a form of temporary facial paralysis resulting from damage or trauma to one of the two facial nerves. It is the most common cause of facial paralysis. Symptoms of Bell’s palsy, which vary from person to person and range in severity from mild weakness to total paralysis.

Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate

A common birth defect, a cleft lip or cleft palate is a split in the mouth structure.

Cleft lip is a birth defect in which a baby’s upper lip doesn’t form completely and has an opening in it. Cleft palate is a birth defect in which a baby’s palate (roof of the mouth) doesn’t form completely and has an opening in it. These birth defects are called oral clefts or orofacial clefts.

Dizziness

Feeling unsteady or dizzy can be caused by a variety of disorders.

Facial Surgery

There are two types of facial surgery—reconstructive and cosmetic. An otolaryngologist surgeon or ENT-Otolaryngologist is trained to perform both.

Reconstructive Surgery

We correct conditions such as a cleft palate or to treat an existing disease such as cancer. Accidents, burns and trauma may create conditions that need a surgical correction.

Cosmetic Facial Plastic Surgery

We perform surgery to enhance the visual appearance of the facial structures. For example, you may decide to change your appearance by having a facelift, rhinoplasty (or surgery on the nose), repair of droopy eyelids and liposuction.

Parotid Gland Tumor

A tumor in the salivary gland is usually benign, but can be cancerous in some cases.

Sinusitis

Sinusitis simply means your sinuses are infected or inflamed. But this gives little indication of the misery and pain this condition can cause. Health experts usually divide sinusitis cases into these categories:

  • Acute, which last up to 4 weeks
  • Subacute, which last 4 to 12 weeks
  • Chronic, which last more than 12 weeks and can continue for months or even years
  • Recurrent, with several acute attacks within a year, is also chronic sinusitis

TMJ Disorders

Temporomandibular joint and muscle disorders, commonly called “TMJ,” are a group of conditions that cause pain and dysfunction in the jaw joint and the muscles that control jaw movement. For most people, pain in the area of the jaw joint or muscles does not signal a serious problem. Some people, however, develop significant, long-term symptoms.

Thyroid Conditions

Thyroid nodules form when normal thyroid tissue grows and lumps or nodules develop within your thyroid gland. Goiter is an enlargement of your goiter, a gland in your neck near your Adam’s apple. Thyroid cancer is a very treatable cancer. Hurthle Cell Cancer is a rare form of thyroid cancer.
